Whether it is with the Double Ligero or any of the other countless lines of La Flor Dominicana cigars, Litto Gomez is constantly pushing his brand to the limit. Air Bender may be his most ambitious yet. The Habano-seed Dominican filler and Dominican binder are all grown in Gomez's famous La Canela farm and give this smoke a body not often found in cigars from this region. The oily and cocoa-hued wrapper gives an amazing flavor that needs to be experienced. Air bender is a full-bodied smoke which is sure to please everyone who likes a little kick with their stogie. (See more La Flor Dominicana Cigars) A gorgeous and classy maroon, gold and black band greets the eye but the aroma is what truly makes you want to sit back and devour this fine cigar. Even through the cellophane there are notes of spice and cedar which greet the nose. When you feel the wrapper, the oils almost come off in your hand and the sweet notes on the lips after your initial cut will get your palate excited. While this is definitely a full-bodied smoke, at no point to we feel overpowered by it and the body never took away from the wonderful flavors that come through. The spices that are present from the prelight are there the entire stick and seems to build with intensity until the final crescendo. Air bender may not be a cigar for everyone, but anyone that loves a full-bodied cigar should definitely add this to their repertoire. Due to the power and body, this is not a stick that can be paired with everything, but a great single malt or a flavorful dark beer after dinner would be an amazing accompaniment. We would also suggest the La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero as another wonderful full-bodied smoke to put in your humidor.
