La Aroma De Cuba Edicion Especial

Ashton introduced La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial in 2008 to go along with the original and the Mi Amor line of the very popular cigar series. Fans of both of those other iterations are in for a treat with this one. Made by the Garcia family in their famed Nicaraguan factory, La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial has full flavored Nicaraguan filler and binder tobacco and an exquisite sun grown Ecuadorian wrapper. It is this wrapper which causes an increased rush of flavor and spice, as well as a fantastic earthiness. The blend of tobaccos used on the Edicion Especial offer a complexity of flavors expected from a Garcia made cigar. (Shop other La Aroma de Cuba Cigars) The band is a beautiful yellow and gold accented with a secondary smaller red band with the simple lettering of EE. A wonderful medium brown wrapper leaf with minimal veins and a virtually invisible seam , the burn was fantastic and it held the ash very well. We used our trusty punch on this one and the draw was as smooth as can be. First light provided the spiciness expected from a Garcia cigar but this smoothed out with each subsequent puff. A creaminess comes out in the final act of the Edicion Especial which was unexpected but very welcome. La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial is a cigar worthy of both the Garcia and Ashton names. A fantastic construction and wonderful taste came through with each draw. Some may feel his is a medium-to-full body smoke, but we found it more in the medium range, especially when the creamy final third of the cigar kicked in. Perfectly paired with a pinot grigio or lighter beer, this is a perfect addition to any humidor. The original La Aroma de Cuba as well as Mi Amor are also fantastic smokes.
