At the 2010 IPCPR trade show in New Orleans, Jesus Fuego's Tabacos S.A. introduced a host of new products, but none to the fanfare of the J. Fuego Origen Originals cigar. This newest addition to the J. Fuego family picks up right where the "origin" of the Origen left off, only this time Jesus Fuego kicks up the flavor a notch a two with a bold, bright and banging Brazilian Maduro wrapper. (See more J Fuego Cigars) The Origen Maduro line followed in the footsteps of its early 2010 release, releasing his most popular sizes but the third-generation tobacco man didn't hesitate to release the Origen Maduro in a full complement of vitolas including, what has become his now-signature vitola, the "Original," tiny little Cheroots. The concept is the same one Jesus uses when testing tobaccos for blending in the factory. In the small 5" x 44 size as well as all of the others in the line, Fuego packs five different nationalities worth of tobacco leaves: a Brazilian Mata Fina Maduro wrapper, a Costa Rican Corojo Binder and Nicaraguan Criollo, Honduran Corojo and Mexican San Andres fillers. Expect highly-developed notes of Mexican hot chocolate sweetness along with dry summer dust bowl earthen notes and rich black motorcycle leather scents and tastes. Any concerns about construction are laid to rest pretty quickly: tons of smoke production, a near perfect draw and a consistent burn that usually leads to finger burning. These Origen Maduros are the next evolution of what was once the beginning for a man that is now a Master Blender. Kick back, light one up and let him take you on a world tour!
