Originally released by Don Pepin Garcia in 2007 as a limited release stick, My Father Cigars decided to bring back the sought after El Centurion cigars to coincide with their 10th anniversary in 2013. Now a regular production smoke, this cigar carries much of the same flavor and profile of the special release from years prior. A Nicaraguan puro, this premium smoke has a Sun Grown Criollo '98 wrapper which surrounds a Nicaraguan binder and three different Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, Corojo Habano, Criollo, and Sancti Spiritus. This full-bodied masterpiece gives you that signature Don Pepin pepper blast right from the initial puff. After the first third there is seemingly a new flavor added to the mix after each puff. Oak, cedar, leather, nuts, espresso, and sweetness are all present and none overpower any of the others. The complexity of this cigar is something to be experienced. My Father Cigars had a winner on its hands with the El Centurion in 2007, and thankfully they have decided to add this premium cigar into the regular production rotation. Of course, it would be hard to expect anything less since this stick was supposedly rolled for Don Pepin Garcia as his own blend.
