CAO Pilon

It's strange to be living in a time when CAO, creator of the new Pilon cigar, is considered an old-school establishment brand. Fortunately they are not stuck with the name of some company that first existed a century ago and has long since lost its mojo, because the company founded by Cano A Ozgener is still going strong and innovating in a business where tradition is usually the most powerful motivator. To encompass both desires, the Pilon is both named after and utilizes an old and nearly forgotten method for slowly fermenting tobacco in small batches which mellows the robust Nicaraguan filler and binder just enough to compliment the spicy Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. (Shop other CAO Cigars) The CAO Pilon is a gorgeous cigar to behold, with a smooth golden brown wrapper highlighted by a few thin veins. The cream colored wrapper is both elegant in design and amazingly informative: 'Loté Pequeño' (or small batch) to indicate the small batch status, a listing the various tobaccos used for each component, the name and size of the particular vitola, and even a pictogram of the Pilon circular fermenting process. How cool! With this wealth of knowledge to guide you, it's still the flavor which will astonish and amaze. Full of dark cocoa, toasted nuts, sweet cedar and warm spices, these medium strength delights will never disappoint. Yeah, sorry to say you're going to have to pay a hefty price if you want to stash some of these away for a special… wait, what? They're how much?...Sorry, had to get up off the floor. Ok, so wow.
